Do we need to eat differently in midlife?

A woman’s nutrition needs change throughout her lifespan. The work I do with clients in menopause is often around discussing the weight gain that happens. It’s to do with the reduction in oestrogen, which drives insulin resistance in midlife women and means they’re more susceptible to that ease of weight gain and difficulty shifting weight, particularly in the central torso area. The little tricks they once used, like eating less bread or having less wine, don’t work anymore.
